Technological Round-Up
So now that I’ve been home for a couple of days, I’ve had time to waste pointlessly online, searching for amusement spend relaxing with my family. Naturally, amongst all of this quality time, I’ve been able to find one or two things to boost my online repertoire.
- DowningStreet - if we’re going to show Twitter love to Obama, surely the PM deserves some attention too.
- RedSoxBot – regularly updated aggregator of Red Sox headlines, with links to sources: what could be better during the Hot Stove season?
- fwdfwdfwd – now, I’m breaking the rules here (see Twitter bio), but this is a great source of random links around the net (just in case Digg, Gorilla Mask and Fark all go down…)
- And, while you’re checking out new stuff on Twitter, why not follow me (@aechase) and check out my friend’s latest project (@KidsVDay).
iPhone
- First off, you should check out iusethis for Mac and iPhone applications.
- Topple – this is by the makers of Rolando, and to celebrate their recent big release, have dropped the price of this app to…free! Stack the blocks til you reach the top.
- TubeStatus – maybe not so useful for non-Londoners out there, but this is an app that brings you up to date info on how the Tube is running with a snappy interface.
- Finally, and continuing on the Twitter theme from above, there are a lot of Twitter iPhone apps, but I’m throwing my weight behind Tweetie. Not only does it sport a slick interface and a whole host of features, but the developer (@tweetie) will respond to your suggestions on Twitter. The app isn’t free, but it’s worth every penny.
